The medieval village of Santa Pau
The town conserves the fascinating precinct of the old village, with a physiognomy and some medieval characteristics very accentuated. It emphasizes the main square or Firal dels Bous: a porticated square of irregular profile and uneven arches, that has an undeniable personality, and that is situated around the castle, a strong and compact building that raises itself in the highest point of the town. Its important to visit also the church of Santa Maria and all the narrow alleys with sudden angles and pronounced descents.
